After years driving Halifax, we saw the same problem: riders paying too much while drivers earned too little. So we built Rido.

Behind the wheel in Halifax.
Rido's founder began driving for Uber in Halifax in 2022. He liked how simple the app made booking a ride.

What he kept seeing.
Riders paying a lot for airport trips, and drivers keeping a small share. On his own trips, a rider could pay around $100 while the driver received $25–$30.

Years on these roads.
Fellow Halifax drivers he knows have 10 to 15 years of local experience. Some of them drove for Casino Taxi.

So we built Rido.
Rido was started to give passengers lower fares and local drivers better earnings.

Our primary sedan is a black 2020 Toyota Camry XSE. Rido matches the vehicle to your party and luggage, so larger groups get an SUV or van.
